We have a number of magnificent beaches around the village :
- the main beach, where Swartvlei lake meets the ocean is popular for families.
- Myoli and Cola beach join to give endless white sand where one can walk safely and admire the beauty and tranquility.
- Swartvlei beach offers horseback access and leads to Gericke's Point which is accessible at low tide and is excellent for snorkelling and exploring the tidal pools.
To the east of the town is Groenvlei - a fresh water lake famous for its bass fishing and this forms part of the Goukamma Nature Reserve with its abundance of bird life.
